Did I sign away my inheritance?

When I was 14 years old I signed a legal form I believe was to give my stepgrandmother permission to take control of my grandfathers money. He had an irrevocable will and while he was in a rest home after having a stroke she had everyone in the will sign a similar form. She was then able to sell his properties and buy homes etc. My parents told me to sign it or they were afraid my Dad would lose his job. My Dad worked for the family business. My grandpa passed away shortly after and we are estranged from the family. Where can I find a copy of what I signed? My parents never kept a copy and I don't even know what it said. Is there any way I can find out what was left to me in his will? I would at least like to know what he left me. My stepgrandmother is still living so I assume she changed everything. How can I find out what was in the original will? This was in Los Angeles County. Thank you.

I recently moved away from my hometown to get away from the small town trap and for better opportunities. Both have been successful. My father recently died and I feel this pressure to be driving 16 hours a weekend to visit my mother. My issue is, that my family has never really acted like a family and in a time like this that is what I really want. After my dad died, I had friends and distant family coming out of the woodwork to be supportive and it blew me away, it was something I had never experienced before. Growing up my mother cut off most relationships after a fight. We were forbid to talk to cousins, uncles and aunts. My mom would disown anyone that she didn't get along with. Being raised like this, its always been hard for me to trust people, and I have become very anti social. Over the last 10 years or so, even our immediate family has become estranged. We do get together in the same house for holidays, but no one talks to each other. It's very awkward and uncomfortable. Each of us kids can talk to a parent but not each other. If you try you get a one word answer and they will literally look away. My brothers finish dinner and run into other rooms. We have a few young children in the family and this is the only reason it's not completely unbearable. (They run around making noise) Well those kids are getting older and now its just the adults with a mom with a dead husband and we all just sit watching TV for a few hours and then one by one they leave. This is torture on me, I hate it. I see other families getting along, loving each other, texting, calling each other, meeting each other out. My mother has done nothing to help the situation and I have tried for years with no luck. The only incident I can even guess that kicked this off is that my sister I believe has a problem were she feels the need to turn people on each other and she always becomes the ally. She used to do this with her friends when we were young. Tells each friend that another one is talking about them or said something messed up, that friend now trusts my sister and not the other person. My sister looks like the trustworthy person. She did this a few years ago to my family, she told my mom I talked about her, she told me that my mom was saying mean things about me, she told my brother I didn't approve of his lifestyle and told me that he hated me. She plays these games all the time. She has lost most of her friends because they find out how she really is. I tried to call her on this before and it only made it worse. Now it's all worse than ever. I hate these feelings of nothing ever getting resolved, and most of all I still dream of having this great supportive family. When I do drive 8 hours home to visit my mom now, I stay at her house where everyone has the opportunity to stop over. Like I said my dad recently died and in the 6 out of 8 weekends I've driven home since it happened, my brothers didn't even bother to stop over to see my mom, or me. (they all live a few blocks from her) The 2 weeks they did stop it was same old same old, everyone in different rooms not speaking. Even my mom feels uncomfortable and usually sits in a small computer room playing computer games. So my question is.... Do I just forget about my old life and all the baggage that seems to hold me back and be depressed? I'm 31 years old, and I wasted an entire decade of my 20's waiting for things to get better doing what I can. Those are years I'll never get back and I regret so much time that I sacrificed doing what I wanted to do, to sit there and be ignored and depressed. I don't want to see my 30's go up in smoke driving back and forth. Advice please?

I think my 3 week old ferrets have got fleas what can i use to treat them?

I dont understand what size i am (in the uk)?

i bought 2 pairs of jeans the other day on the internet, 1 pair was size 14, the other was size 16. When they arrived i tried the size 14 on but they wouldnt fit, i couldnt even pull them up over my bum. Will I ever truly be happy?

It seems most of my life has been nothing except disappointments. I have only two close friends. I had more in the passed. But I always managed to ruin those friendships one way or another. One out of state and the other is here. When people first meet me they like me but never want to hang out with me over a long period of time. I try so hard to be cool to be around. The passed few months I have been trying to be more sociable approachable and fun to be around. Within a short period of time I manage to irritate people. I am 25 single and have a baby girl. I would love to be happy for once in my life. Have people like me for me and want to be around me. Right now the only one who truly loves me unconditionally is my daughter. The greatest gift God blessed me with. I have recently estranged myself from my entire family. That I am very happy about. They were a huge part of my problems. So I'm happy they're out of our lives. Hello. My life feels so empty. I am eighteen years old, just graduated from high school with no immediate plans for college. I wish I could start in the fall, but I didn't apply to anywhere. Nevermind that. My father walked out on my family when I was about 11. My older brother moved out a little while ago. My mother and I are not close, in fact we can't stand each other. My mom is from Brazil, and I have a huge family over there apparently, though I haven't seen them since I was 3 -- It is just my mother and I here in America now, and it can get pretty lonely sometimes because we don't talk to each other and we seclude ourselves in our own room. I wish I had a loving mother-daughter relationship with her more than anything in this world, and I've wished that for years on end. However, it is impossible because she doesn't wish to fix things, and she chooses to dwell in the bad past and hold grudges. She is a very harsh person. A hypocrite, narcissistic, rude, manipulative, loud, careless, thoughtless, forgetful, overbearing, thoughtless, depressing, always worried, and usually angry for some reason. She picks fights with me constantly, and although I truly want to have patience with her, she doesn't make it easy. I'm sick of her attitude towards me, but she barely feels like she's at fault. She is considerably older than I am, 56 now. I thought menopause is playing a role in her violent mood swings, but sometimes I fear it may be a mental disorder, just based on her actions. It scares me that I may be losing my mother to something like that. I myself often feel alienated by her. And she alienates me from my friends. I took theatre and choir, which I have a passion for, and made many friends from there, but I think that everyone fears my mom (they joke about it with me too saying "You're mom is scary!") too much to hang out with me. And I bet they believe that even if they did ask me to hang out she wouldn't allow it. I know I'm 18, but I can't drive yet, and I'm only now applying for summer jobs, so she is my ride for everything. Ugh... I have social phobia, and always think people a judging me, so with a mom like mine it just makes my situation worse. I'm missing my best friends graduation party right this very moment because I'm too scared to go. I've screwed myself over plenty of times because of my damn fear; missed out on a lot of great opportunities. Uhh, I think I'll even go as far to say I've never had a boyfriend, or been kissed. I cry because I hate my mom, but I don't want her to die before we patch things up. I know hate is a strong word, but I have all the reason to say I hate her for the ridiculous things she's done. When we get in fights, nothing brings her out of her fit of rage, nothing. She yells over me and I never get a word in edge wise. She hardly knows anything about me anymore, nor do I with her, so we're basically estranged. I know that she's taken up smoking something... which she's very bad at hiding from me. That worries me if it could be illegal. Oh boy what can I tell you? I'm sure my family was dysfunctional from the very start, since my mom keeps telling me how my father screwed her life up and mine and my brother's. My brother actually is living with my father now we found out, working and saving up money, and he seems happy from the messages he sends me. Although it pissed my mom off more than anything at first, since she hates my dad. My mom also has this thing about always bringing my dad into our daily arguments, and how if I don't like it here I should just "go live with him". As if... I barely know that dude anymore, and if he's the one responsible for bringing me and my mom all this anguish why would I go live with him now?! She doesn't understand that I don't take sides, and that I'm not always against her point of view. I'm rambling now... my point of typing this was to tell people I'm sad, and I feel lonely, and scared, and hurt, and confused, and worried, and anxious, and since there is no one else to express myself to I'm asking you to please give me words of advice, and hope and courage. I used to be good at composing myself when I was younger, but now that I'm a young adult without a planned future it's really difficult. If you could calm my nerves, I will be so grateful. I got a call for a job that the company is "proactively" starting to search for candidates. I found out it's my sister's friend's current job. There's only one position, it's with a small company and in a small town. I know it's her job. Does that mean she could be getting fired? My sister and I are estranged so I won't ask her, and to be honest her friend is a very crappy person in general. I know she's been let go from a few jobs in the past couple of years. hey everyone.....right i had a baby my 2nd 8 weeks ago saturday.....i stopped bleeding quite early on and had my very first period on the 9th june ( had been spotting for 4 days before).....only the friday was heavy flow and came off sunday morning so was on for 4 days........me n my husband had unprotected sex on the 18th june ( 6 days after my period) and straight away that day i started spotting and stayed spotting also was watery....but no red blood...only spotting for 3 days then stopped also had cramping with it only slight nothing painful....have been getting really bad headaches now.....we are only using condoms until i see doctor in 2 weeks.....but wot are my chances of ovulating 6 odd days after my period and getting pregnant?...also could that bleed be implantation bleeding?.....when could i test due to not knowing wen my next period would be? xx thanks alot xx

It an iphone first gen i won the bid at �97.......all the description said was iphone complete with docking station. when i got it, the usb lead has a split in one end, so the bit u plug into the computer looks like its hanging off but still works i think. also, along the top of the screen it looks like the colour of the screen has run (like its been dropped in water)........EG when i have a complete black screen up, the along the top the colour isnt black its more greyish, and theres a little spot further down the screen which has the same thing. another thing is that the speaker sounds funny. on my brothers same phone ringtones are perfect, but mine sounds crookey and like theres water in the speaker, and the message tones sound the same, and like the phone is struggling to play ringtones and message tones.

Psychosis is where people have delusions (thinking songs are about her) and paranoia (thinking the neighbours know stuff about you) and can happen in people who are severely depressed. Get her to a doctor NOW and tell them what is going on with her. Psychosis is highly treatable and doesn't necessarily result in a trip to the hospital. 93 Suburban 5.7 TBI No power at WOT, and has low timing advance at WOT according to scan tool.?

I have no power at WOT and NO codes, will not accelerate even one mile an hour when I floor it. spark advance on scan tool reads 16 degrees at WOT. when I back off the accelerator easy, then I can see the advance is rising and it starts slowly to accelerate. If I back off enough for it to allow a up-shift to 4th gear it gets about 30-35 degrees advance and is accelerating even more. On normal driving it seems to work fine. it's only approximately past 50% throttle it seems to act up. I have tested and changed almost anything I can think of by now and still no change at all. New fuel pump, new MAP sensor, TPS has been tested several times on scan tool to double check. test run on free exhaust to eliminate a clogged cat. anyone have any idea or have experience form the same problem? the truck is at about 190k miles. I have had it for about 6 months and the problems has been there the hole time I've had it. Previous owner was an old man that probably didn't know the problem was there. to be honest I miss the good old days when vehicles used points and carburetors, and could be fixed in 2 minutes by the help of a Swiss army knife by the side of the road.

He was so very, very sick. This is not an excuse...it is a fact. For whatever reason, he chose not to get help. His denial of the incidents proves his guilt. He denies it because he knows it is wrong. Part of his sickness, some sort of narcisistic thought process, allows him to believe that he is above everyone, and everything. He thinks the world revolves around him, and therefore, he should have what he wants, and pay no consequence for. They do know what they are doing will destroy their child, and do it anyway. This is part of the narcisistic mentallity...he believes he comes first. There are alot of other mental sicknesses he is/was dealing with. It would take a mental health professional to deal with them all. I am not a professional, but I am an abused child myself. I have learned this from years and years of therapy, and the many books I have read. My father died still saying it was all my fault, I was 3 years old when it began. Why does my center console get hot in my bmw 740i?

Some back ground, I'm 15 years old. Back in November my father got full custody of me. This was after 6 years of mental, emotional, and physical abuse. She clearly has some mental issues, my therapist, father, and step mom, all agree on this, and she wants to meet me every week on sunday because "she loves me". I agree only to spare my dad the expense of going back to court and to get my clothing, which she uses as bargaining chips. Last week she brought up she wanted to talk about the "incident" in November. I agreed feeling uncomfortable about it and talked to my therapist about it and she said to say if i didn't feel comfortable talking about it I didn't have too. Today I attempted to stay away from the topic and told her i didn't feel comfortable talking about it to which she retorted "why? because you caused it". Say what? who was doing the choking? She changes every situation so she's the victim and it's so infuriating! I finally had to walk away because I knew if I didn't I would have punched her, she kept saying it was all my fault and she had taken "responsibility" for her losing her temper but i needed to take responsibility for "being defiant and causing it". I just don't know what to do anymore, If I knew she would move on and stop blaming everything on me I would be ok with meeting her, but that's not the case. What should I do? I just want to know if you've had a similar situation and what you've done. I'm confused and a little angry and i just need some advice on how to face her next week. Thanks!

Here is the situation, so bare with me, its kind of a long story. My Mother, who I temporarily reside with with along with her 87 year old boyfriend, is 65 . They are not married. He pays for food , but no rent and occasionally fixes her car and drives her everywhere. I moved in to stay with her temporarily this past year after the sudden death of my Sister,in the cabin adjoining their house. Lately, I have noticed a very extreme decline in her mental abilities,she is forgetful and such. Here also is the problem: I am moving back to my home state in August and I feel very bad about leaving her in this state. After all, what if something should happen to her very old boyfriend? I cant get her to take a test too determine if anything is wrong with her. She is also very head-strong and stubborn and somewhat simple-minded. We aren't very close, so I cant convince her to take any test. However,she is my Mother and of course I care about her well-being. I have 3 brothers and a Sister and they all(except one) don't care and/or are indifferent to the problem. My sister is estranged from her,the other brothers are indifferent. One brother has taken notice, but like me feels helpless also and does not know what to do. They all live in a different State. I want to and need to resume my old life,yet I feel like something will happen to her when I am not here. Her boyfriend treats her okay, but like I said they aren't married and he hasn't always pulled his weight(like I said he doesn't pay rent here. and I don't know if its just a relationship of conveyance for him and if he will con her when I leave. She has no mortgage and has some money( I think) left from her previous husband who passed away. I just feel like I don't trust him and I know that he knows of her mental decline and he has agreed with me that she acts a little crazy at times. I want her to move back home with me,although it would be tough on me at first until a situation can be in place,however she is bent on staying here with her boyfriend. Am I wrong in wanting him to go away and wanting her to move back near her children under the circumstances? He makes her happy(I guess) How would you handle this problem, if she were your parent?Any comments ,or suggestions? Also,she is blind in one eye and sort of emotionally unstable after my Sister's death

I am 15 years old and have been playing golf for 13 months i am shooting high 70's to low 80's at courses all over South Carolina i am a 9 handicap at my local course and actually work there i play 36 holes everyday and sometimes more. I practice 3 hours a day on the range and practice green. I also play on my high school varsity team, Every one says i am doing great and i have a great swing. Need help with my dad and brother who're both alcoholics, what should I do?

Hi please bare with me, I'm a 20 year old student, my mother passed away a decade ago, I live in my university town but during breaks I stay back at home where my father and one of my two brothers live, I've been back 5 weeks studying for upcoming exams, my father, 60 and brother, 25 are both alcoholics. My dad works 5-6 days a week quite hard and drinks every single night in his room. My brother, is a 25 year old unsocial unemployed estranged person who drinks every night by himself into the late late hours of the morning. He isn't really unemployed I think he doesn't want a job because he's so unsocial and strange, nobody understands him, we think he has a personality disorder, lazy, unsocial, deceiving, dishonest, awkward. When he hasn't got money for drink he tricks my father into giving him money 'for things for the house' (Bread, Milk etc..) my dad generally worries for him and doesn't want to give him money but when he's pissed at night he gives him money and then my brother can buy the many cans of beer he needs. His bedroom is full of empty cans, we've tried reaching out to him and helping him he won't have ANY of it, he just wants to live this life which he has been for years, my father has heart disease and drinks every day. I'm stuck in the middle of it here getting me down, these two just get at each others feet all day, sometimes picking on each other for their drinking habits, and drink alone in their rooms every night. Don't know what to do. Sorry for so much reading but I need help, thanks a million.

I play the one handed backhand. Lot of people compliment me for it saying I have a lovely one handed backhand. I used to play cricket and used to bat lefty (same grip as the 2 handed backhand), but when I started playing Tennis about 3 years ago I struggled big time due to major weight difference between a cricket bat and a tennis racket so I started working on a one handed backhand. Learnt most of my tennis on a wall and just last year I got to start playing on a court on a consistent basis.

I hate my best mate's daughter?

I have a very good friend who i enjoy socialising with. And in the past few months we have, for whatever reason, started spending alot more time together. The problem is that when she can't get a babysitter we have to organise "family" outings where she and her boyfriend and daughter accompany me, my husband, my son and my baby daughter on days out etc. This would not be a problem were it not for her daughter. I'm quite a tolerable person, but i am also a very disciplined parent. My son is very well behaved, with manners and respect for his elders. He is a very intellegent little boy who enjoys reading and constructive play. Ie, make believe games not just running riot creating havoc and chaos for no other reason than that. He has never raised his hand to another child, or adult for that matter in his entire 7 years. He is very placid and gentle. However, my friend's daughter is about as vile as you can get. And i hate the effect it has on my lovely son. I enjoy spending time with my friend but she really is a bad parent. Maybe i should give a few examples of her daughter's behaviour before you judge me as being a bad person who hates a little girl. My friend's daughter has got it into her head that she is an adult. And yes, it is her mother's fault. She demands adult portions in resteraunts. Adult soft drinks & thats just the tip of the iceberg. She has a very bitchy nature. And will often but into conversations with her opinion & has been known to tell adults to shut up. If she see's another child being told off she will gloat & think it's ok to join in with the parent! She hits my son when he doesn't comply with her wishes of "bad behaviour play" She is far too aware 4 a 7yr old & has been known to say things like "that woman over there is giving me a dirty look" what 7 yr old notices things like that??! She will demand things & when her mum (my friend) gives in, she will change her mind and in a bitchy manner say "i dont want that. im not having that. i didnt want that one!" which makes my blood boil! As time has gone on, i have found myself disciplining her infront of her mum, who sits there quite happy to let me do so! Now, this girl needs some discipline but not from me. My friend does not see whats wrong with her daughter's behaviour, and on occasion will laugh at her more disgusting actions. When her daughter makes rude comments on people's appearance, she says it's funny & will laugh. Now, i realise this makes my friend sound like the sort of person i shouldn't be friends with. But i like to think, besides that, she's a good person. Maybe i am far too quick at trying to see the good. I know that trying to do that with her daughter has got me nowhere. And now i am stuck with a choice. My son is sick and tired of her. And now my other friends, whose children have spent time with this child at my house at social gatherings, have all said they dont want their children around this girl again. Only last night my friends daughter went upto the Dad of the girl she was playing with and told him "to get away" from his own daughter!!! I feel i need to distance my son from her without causing a rift with my friend. Even my family have encountered this child's disgusting manners. A few weeks ago i was at a family meal and i bumped into my friend as they arrived. We were leaving as my baby needed to go to bed so we chatted for a moment then left, leaving the rest of my family to talk. I later found out that my friends daughter had approached my grandmother & said "oi, are you gonna come and talk to my mum or wot?" Not wanting to be rude my grandmother went to talk to my friend, who she does not know, and the child proceeded to dominate the conversation! To put it plainly, my friends daughter is a rude little ***** & i dont want her influence around my son anymore. She is a dominating little brat who thinks she is equal to adults & has the right to berate children her own age when their parents discipline then and taunt them too. Her tone of voice is downright bitchy & i cant bear to hear her speak thats how bad it has got! How do i distance my son from her without alienating my friendship with her mom? Or is that something i will have to chance because my son comes first? Any advice welcome!!!

Why won't my estrange husband leave me and my son alone?

My estrange husband is born here in the states. He's forcing me to stay with him. I told him that I don't want nothing to do with him. He does not want nothing do to with me, that's fine but he does want nothing to do with my son. That's nuts! He made false statements against me to Child services and INS. Latitude or LTX M/S 2 for 07 Highlander?

I am trying to decide between Michelin's Latitude Tour or LTX M/S 2 for my 07 Highlander Sport. I am mainly looking for a safe, smooth, quiet and comfortable riding tire that will last better than Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenza's that are currently on the car (only lasted 36K miles). Most of my driving is city with some short stretches of highway. LTX M/S 2 gets glowing reviews, but I'm not sure since it is aimed at SUV and Light Truck vs. Latitude that focuses on SUV and Crossover markets.
