HIPAA violation by a hospital employee?

My estranged wife's best friend works for a large hospital network and provided my ex wife with information about 2 recent visits to the ER of other hospitals in the same network! My estranged wife used information about 2 recent visits to the ER. She has information as to what the visits were for, (Anxiety Attacks) and what test were performed and what medicine I was prescribed and used the information in a legal complaint against me! I never signed anything allowing that information and removed her as my emergency contact from my first admission! I believe told by a mutual friend that the employee provided my estranged wife with this information. What should I do and do I a potential lawsuit from this?
