Estranged husband wants to evict friend living in my home. Can he?

Purchased home while we were separated but allowed him to stay with me until he found a job to move on with his life. That never happened. During this time I allowed my friend and her daughter to live with me to prevent going to a shelter. This wasn't the smartest thing because once I filed for divorce he felt as if she was the driving force behind my decision (not the fact that he has been abusive and father a 7 month old child outside of our marriage). Because home is marital property he feels he is authorized to file eviction to put her out. He is just being malicious because we are going through a bitter divorce. Can he legally do that? Need advice on what I can do to stop him and keep him away from me. He has not been in home for about 3 weeks and I've had to call the police several times due to a few of his actions.
